Eddie Chou
Eddie is a co-founder of Rogue Jiu-Jitsu and a first-degree black belt, awarded his black belt by Thiago Rela in 2019. With 12 years of BJJ experience, Eddie has trained under top instructors from TX, NJ, NY, and Seattle.

After returning to NJ, he trained with Jason Scully and earned his purple belt under Kurt Pellegrino. Following a break from 2009 to 2017 due to work commitments, Eddie resumed training and has been consistent ever since.
As a competitor, he won numerous tournaments from white to brown belt (gi) and intermediate to expert (no-gi), including Masters Worlds at brown belt in 2019. He was then promoted to black belt by Thiago Rela. Later that year, Eddie moved to Seattle, joined the Marcelo Alonso team, and in 2024, co-founded Rogue Jiu-Jitsu with his good friend Constantine Hatzis to bring their love of the sport to the PNW.
Outside of jiu-jitsu, Eddie is a product manager at a tech start-up. He enjoys spending time with his partner and two dogs, cooking, playing video and board games, and immersing himself in fantasy worlds like Lord of the Rings and A Song of Ice and Fire.
Constantine Hatzis
Constantine is a co-founder of Rogue Jiu-Jitsu and a first-degree black belt. He’s trained Brazilian jiu-jitsu for 19 years in several schools across the US.
In 2005, he started training in NJ under Jason Scully. Following his wife to LA in 2006, he trained under Eddie Bravo at 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu and received his blue belt. Another move landed him in Indiana, where Constantine trained with and coached the Purdue jiu-jitsu club. Katy Smith
Katy is a black belt in jiu-jitsu and has been training since 2012. She teaches women’s no gi classes on Friday nights, and is looking forward to sharing what she has learned over the last 12 years to help grow women’s jiu-jitsu and give back to the community.
Katy’s jiu-jitsu journey began in 2012 under Andrew Perkins at Mat Chess MMA, when she relocated to the PNW from San Diego, CA for physical therapy school. She has enjoyed competing locally and nationally over the years, including The Revolution, NAGA, Grappling Industries, IBJJF, and ADCC East and West Coast Trials, bringing home multiple medals in exchange for her hard work.
After winning silver at the Pan American Championships in April 2023, she was awarded her black belt from Andrew Perkins. Katy is proud to come from a lineage not too far removed from the legendary Carlson Gracie. Her coach, Andrew Perkins, trained under Dave Ginsberg who is a 5th degree black belt under the renowned Mario Sperry, one of Carlson Gracie’s top students and competitors during his time.
Carlson was known for his belief in sharing knowledge and making it public rather than keeping jiu-jitsu a secret. He understood that to truly test yourself and get better you had to share your knowledge. Katy believes that by sharing one’s skills and knowledge with the community it will only make everyone better and help to push the sport of jiu-jitsu forward.
In addition to her black belt in jiu-jitsu, Katy also holds a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of WA and works locally in outpatient orthopedics. She enjoys working with jiu-jitsu athletes and other martial artists, helping them to manage their injuries and return to the mats.
Outside of work and jiu-jitsu, Katy enjoys spending time in the mountains snowboarding and hiking, hand painting china with her grandma in California, and harvesting avocados each summer with her family in her grandma’s orchard.

Faye has taught kids and adults classes in jiu-jiitsu and has coached 4 seasons of High School Girls Wrestling. She taught at Mushin Martial Arts, Workshop NYC, Kindred Jiu Jitsu, and coached at Meadowdale and Cascade High School.
